  1. The French invented this fabric but not this style.
  2. Chocolates melt too quickly here. I bring fruit flavoured candy for chewing.
  3. Wherever I roam in search of nice young asis ladies I find corruption This needs eradicating in Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma and the Philippines as well as Thailand. Is there any chance it might happen? Sagly, NO
  4. I was born in the 1930s so being brought up in wartime England I was trained to be frugal and never waste anything.
  5. Association does not prove causation.
  6. I quite agree. Furthermore many of the whitening agents are toxic.
  7. I still do not understand the joke. Too subtle for me.
  8. I thought you lived in the Philippines but is seems from your post that you sre in corrigible or perhaps in curable.
  9. Did you hear about the man who walked into a pub asking if anyone was the owner of a small mexican dog left outside. When someone claimed the dog the fellow said it had killed his mastiff. The customers were amazed by this unexpected outcome until the mastiff owner explained that his mastiff had died by choking.
  10. My favourite restaurant is the Swiss Chalet. It has local food, international food and European specialities. I find their American Breakfast the best in town and I love their coffee. In the evening I eat their steaks which I think excellent and when I am nostalgic for some Swiss food I order a cheese fondue or a meat fondue or even a plate of sausage, soked ham and saurkraut. My lady guests speak highly of lacal dishes such as Shrimp sinigang ,Chicken in a basket or Adobo.
  11. To make a food section work would require the active interest and participation of members resident in the area although I would imagine that much of the reading would be by visiting members. As a regular visitor I can only comment on places seem during my recent visits but restaurants change frequently with new ones springing up and old ones closing, Changes of chef, changes of ownership etc. As a visitor from Europe I avoid all fast food outlets since I will not eat Pizzas, Burgers, Hot dogs, Pasta>Neither do I eat most local food such as Balut or all street food.
  12. I enjoy the finest things in life. I like the best food the best drinks and the best girls. Evidently my visits to Angeles demonstrates what I think is most important but whilst I am there I would prefer to dine at the best available venues. I would therefore hope that members would write about those places they think are best. For me I would usually choose the Swiss Chalet.
  13. Why is there not a section about good (or bad!) places to eat? Most forums feature such sections.
